A brick factory in Spokane is the newest in a long line of images of the Spokane Brick Factory that were recently taken by a local photographer.
The images were posted on the Instagram account of the photographer, and show what appears to be the interior of a brick factory.
The photos were taken in August and are part of the new project called Brick Factory Seattle, which is a collaboration between photographer Ryan Siegel and the local nonprofit, the Spokane Urban Brick and Metal Association.
Siegel said he started photographing the brick factory about a year ago and he found that the brick shop and shop floor were a lot more open than he expected.
Snyder said he was particularly interested in the brick and metal work that was done in the basement of the brick building.
“The basement is full of stuff that you don’t normally see there,” Snyder said.
“I found myself really digging in there and trying to find stuff to add to the photos.”
He said that after seeing the photos online, he had a sense of pride that he could be part of something larger and better.
The project is a partnership between the Spokane Arts Council, the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections, the Washington Department of Transportation, the National Federation of Independent Businesses, the Metropolitan Washington Building Industry Association and the National Association of Realtors.
The group has offered a $2,000 grant to help cover the cost of the photos.
